Debating & Public Speaking Contest 2025
is an academic platform for Vietnamese students and young people to enhance their leadership potential, community inspiration, critical thinking, and public speaking skills in English.
Dinh Cao Hung Bien 2025 will feature two main competition categories:
- Part I – Debating
- Part II – Public Speaking
Each category will be divided into two age Group:
- Group A – Super Stars (Ages 18–40)
- Group B – Junior Stars (Ages 9–17)
Beyond discovering outstanding young talents, the contest aspires to nurture a confident, courageous, and globally connected generation of Vietnamese youth ready to lead and inspire positive change in their communities and the world.
PURPOSE
Develop leadership skills: Strengthen logical reasoning, debating, and public speaking abilities.
Build confidence: Help contestants express themselves on stage and become more flexible and persuasive before an audience.
Promote community awareness: Connect to the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and move toward a sustainable future.
CONTEST FORMAT
- Preliminary Round (Online): Submit a self – introduction video and a Debating/Public Speaking video.
- Final Round (Offline): Top 12 contestants (Public Speaking) and Top 20 teams (Debating) will compete live in Ho Chi Minh City.
Public Speaking
- Participation Fee: 500,000 VND/contestant.
- Scoring criteria: Presentation – Content – Language
Debating:
- Participation fee: 500,000 VND/1 member (each team consists of 3 members).
- Scoring criteria: Content – Definition – Skills – Teamwork – Timing
PRIZE STRUCTURE
Debating:
Group A – Debating Super Stars (Ages 18–40)
First Prize:
- 100% Travel Sponsored to Japan including Flights, and Hotel. Could be the representative for JCI Vietnam attending the Debating Contest 2026 in Asia Pacific Conference Japan.
- Cash 15,000,000 VND + Honorary Cup + Scholarship.
Group B – Debating Junior Stars (Ages 9–17)
- First Prize: Cash prize 15,000,000 VND + Honorary Cup + Scholarship. Opportunity to participate in the Friendship competition in the region, a special exchange category exclusively for candidates under 18 years old.
Public Speaking:
Group A – Public Speaking Super Stars (Ages 18–40)
First Prize:
- iGen Future Leader – A 5-day Private Tour in Auckland, New Zealand valued at 100,000,000 VND.
- 100% Travel Sponsored to Japan including Flights, and Hotel. Could be the representative for JCI Vietnam attending the Public Speaking Contest 2026 in Asia Pacific Conference Japan.
- Cash Prize 10,000,000 VND + Honorary Trophy + Scholarship.
Group B – Public Speaking Junior Stars (Ages 9–17)
- Cash Prize 10,000,000 VND + Honorary Trophy + Scholarship. Opportunity to participate in the Friendship Exchange Competition within the region, a special category designed for candidates under 18 years old.

- Group B: Debating Junior Stars (Ages 9–17) – Primary, secondary, and high school students.
Public Speaking
- Group A: Public Speaking Super Stars (Ages 18–40) – JCI members, young entrepreneurs, business association representatives, and university students.
- Group B: Public Speaking Junior Stars (Ages 9–17) – Primary, secondary, and high school students.
